Season FAQ

Fall 2026 questions, answered

The questions families ask most about this season.

When does Fall 2026 start and end?

The season runs August 24, 2026 through November 11, 2026.

Where are practices held?

All Fall training is at Foxhill Park, Bowie, Maryland.

What days and times does my team train?

Legacy First Touch™ trains Tue/Thu 5:30–6:00 PM (30 minutes). Sparks and Wolves train Tue/Thu 6:00–7:00 PM (60 minutes). Lions, Falcons and Lionesses train Mon/Wed 5:30–7:00 PM (90 minutes).

Do players need to arrive early to practice?

No. Arrive at the scheduled start time. The old 15-minutes-early rule no longer applies.

How early should we arrive for games?

30 minutes before kickoff. Each fixture shows an ARRIVE BY time once the game is confirmed.

What are the game days, times and venues?

TBA. Nothing about games is confirmed yet — days, times and venues are all to be announced, and each fixture is published here and in Legacy HQ as soon as it is confirmed.

Is a tryout required before registering?

No. Registration is open to families who are ready to join — a tryout is never a prerequisite. A free tryout is simply an optional way to experience Legacy first.

What does registration cover?

Registering means you are ready to join and want to reserve your player's place for the season, subject to capacity, eligibility and academy review. The seasonal program covers training and, for league teams, league play as configured for your group.

When are team dues paid, and will I know the amount first?

Team and season dues are separate from the registration payment and are collected in the first to second week of the season. The dues amount is published and confirmed to your family before any charge is made — you will never be charged an amount you have not seen first. Legacy does not offer payment plans.

Are payment plans available?

No. Legacy does not offer payment plans or instalments.

What is in the $100 kit?

1 HOME jersey (black), 1 AWAY jersey (white), 1 pair of black match shorts, 2 pairs of socks — 1 black, 1 white. Jersey numbers are assigned by Legacy — players do not choose their own number.

When will our kit arrive?

Kits are ordered with the manufacturer after registration closes. Families will be notified in Legacy HQ and by email as soon as we have delivery timing from the manufacturer — you will not miss the update.

Are tournament fees included?

All tournament entry and participation fees are separate from seasonal registration and dues.

What happens if the weather is questionable?

On weather-sensitive days you receive a TRAINING IS ON confirmation if the session is going ahead, or an immediate cancellation or reschedule notice if anything changes. Day-before, day-of and roughly two-hours-before reminders where enabled.

Where do I find the schedule, RSVPs and updates?

The Legacy website and Legacy HQ are the official hub for schedule, RSVPs, reminders, weather updates, documents and family actions.

What documents are needed to register?

Guardian contact details, the player's legal name and date of birth, an emergency contact, allergy or medical alerts, proof of age, a current player photo, and your policy, conduct, medical and media consents.

What happens after registration?

You are onboarded into Family HQ, where your Welcome Package, Handbook, schedule, next actions and your player's Legacy Player Card live.

What is the refund rule?

Season fees are non-refundable once the season starts. Where a refund is approved, it is initiated within 7 business days. Private and specialty sessions are non-refundable, with one reschedule allowed given 24+ hours notice.

How does the referral program work?

A referral is confirmed once the referred family completes registration and full payment. The referring family earns 1 point per confirmed referral, and 10 confirmed points earn one free 60-minute private session with Coach A. Points never expire and carry season to season.

Can players join after the season starts?

Late joining is subject to availability, group capacity and registration status rather than a fixed cut-off. Register and the academy office will confirm what is open.
