Question 1

What ages does Legacy serve?

Accepted Answer

Legacy's development pathway runs from Under 5 through U18. Not every age has a standalone team every season — Fall 2026 active groups are Legacy First Touch™ (U5), Sparks, Wolves, Lions, Falcons and the Legacy Private Group (Lionesses and U13 Boys). Ask us and we will tell you exactly where your player fits.

Question 2

What is Legacy First Touch™?

Accepted Answer

Legacy First Touch™ is our Under 5 Development Program: Tuesday and Thursday, 7:00–7:30 PM, 30 minutes, at Foxhill Park.

Question 3

Where do you practice?

Accepted Answer

All Fall 2026 training takes place at Foxhill Park, Bowie, Maryland.

Question 4

When does my team practice?

Accepted Answer

Fall 2026: Legacy First Touch™ trains Tue/Thu 7:00–7:30 PM. Sparks and Wolves train Tue/Thu 6:00–7:00 PM. Lions and Falcons train Mon/Wed 5:00–7:00 PM. The Legacy Private Group — Lionesses and U13 Boys players — trains Tue/Thu 5:00–6:00 PM. All sessions are at Foxhill Park.

Question 5

What league does Legacy play in?

Accepted Answer

Legacy competes in the MSA League (formerly MDSL). Legacy First Touch™ does not play MSA League games.

Question 6

Where are games played?

Accepted Answer

League games are generally in the Silver Spring, Maryland area. The exact venue always comes from the published fixture — Silver Spring venues are league game locations, not Legacy training facilities.

Question 7

When should my player arrive for practice?

Accepted Answer

Your player is expected by the scheduled practice start time. If practice starts at 5:00 PM, arrival is 5:00 PM. There is no 15-minute early arrival requirement.

Question 8

When should my player arrive for a game?

Accepted Answer

Players must arrive 30 minutes before kickoff. If kickoff is 10:00 AM, arrival is 9:30 AM.

Question 9

What should my player bring?

Accepted Answer

Soccer cleats or appropriate footwear, shin guards, a labelled water bottle, a size-appropriate soccer ball, and the required Legacy training or game kit. Add weather-appropriate layers for outdoor training. Legacy supplies balls, bibs and session equipment.

Question 10

What happens if my player misses practice?

Accepted Answer

Report the absence in advance. One absence is not a problem; a pattern is, because development is built on repetition. Repeated unreported absence triggers a participation review with your coach.

Question 11

What if we are going on vacation?

Accepted Answer

Log the extended absence in advance. Your player keeps their place, the coach can plan around it, and they return on a development recovery plan rather than straight back into full load.

Question 12

What happens if my child is injured?

Accepted Answer

Report it to your coach and record it in Legacy HQ. The player is withheld from activity that risks the injury, and their participation status reflects a medical hold, not an attendance problem.

Question 13

When can an injured player return?

Accepted Answer

Only with the medical clearance required for that injury. Private training, improved attendance or coach approval alone never medically clears a player. Suspected concussion requires written clearance from a qualified healthcare provider and a staged, supervised return.

Question 14

What happens if practice is cancelled because of weather?

Accepted Answer

Legacy may modify, shorten, delay, relocate, cancel or reschedule outdoor activity for safety. The decision publishes through Legacy HQ and your calendar updates automatically. A weather cancellation does not automatically create a refund.

Question 15

Will a cancelled practice be rescheduled?

Accepted Answer

Where a session is rescheduled, the new date appears automatically in your calendar and notifications. Rescheduling is an operations decision — it is different from rescheduling a private lesson.

Question 16

Do I get a refund if my child stops playing?

Accepted Answer

No. Once the season begins, registration and season fees are non-refundable, including for voluntary withdrawal, loss of interest, schedule conflicts, vacation or missed sessions — subject to any exception Legacy expressly approves and to applicable law.

Question 17

What is the refund policy once the season starts?

Accepted Answer

Once the applicable season begins, registration and season fees are non-refundable. This is disclosed before payment and registration confirmation. Camps, clinics, merchandise and private sessions are governed by their own policies.

Question 18

How long does an approved refund take?

Accepted Answer

Approved refunds will be initiated by Legacy 11 FC Academy within 7 business days after approval. The time for funds to appear on the original payment method may vary depending on the payment provider and financial institution.

Question 19

Can I reschedule a private lesson?

Accepted Answer

Yes — one reschedule is permitted with at least 24 hours notice.

Question 20

What happens if I cancel a private lesson late?

Accepted Answer

Cancellation with less than 24 hours notice forfeits the session, as does a no-show. No refund or credit is provided unless Legacy expressly approves an exception.

Question 21

Are private lessons refundable?

Accepted Answer

No. Private and applicable separately booked instructional sessions are non-refundable. If Legacy cancels a session, you are offered a reschedule at no additional charge or, where applicable, an approved refund.

Question 22

What does registration include?

Accepted Answer

Registration covers your player's place in the Fall 2026 programme: coached training at Foxhill Park, league participation where the programme includes it, coach feedback and development tracking, attendance and RSVP, weather operations, and Family HQ and Player HQ access. It does not include private lessons, small-group or goalkeeper training, camps, clinics or merchandise.

Question 23

Are team dues separate from registration?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Team dues are a separate charge from registration. The Fall 2026 team dues amount has not been approved yet — when it is, it will be published before it is collected. We will never charge an amount that has not been disclosed to you.

Question 24

How do I report an absence?

Accepted Answer

Report it in Family HQ against the specific session or game, with a reason. For vacation or a longer break, log an extended absence with your dates.

Question 25

How does RSVP work?

Accepted Answer

Each session and game asks your household to confirm attendance. If the event later changes — time, venue or status — the RSVP is reset to "reconfirm required" so no one travels on old information.
